We met on a cold day in January 2019, and after four years, we're delighted to be tying the knot.
We will be having three days of activities from September 29 to October 1. Our actual ceremony will be on September 30.
At this time our RSVP is closed. If you have any modifications you need to make, please contact us directly!
We have secured two room blocks, if you'd like to use them — you are free to stay wherever you wish. These two hotels are extremely close to an abundance of restaurants and shopping, so you wouldn't need a car for entertainment.
Both room blocks extend from Thursday, September 28 to Monday, October 2 for those of you who want to make a vacation out of the trip.
The Renaissance at the Arboretum
This hotel is about 5 minutes from our home and 30 minutes from the wedding venue. The rate is $242/night. The booking cutoff date is August 28, 2023, for this hotel.
Home2 Suites by Hilton
This hotel is about 15 minutes from our home and 30 minutes from the wedding venue. The rate is $179/night. The booking cutoff date is September 7, 2023, for this hotel.
Note that the non-refundable rates outside of the room block can sometimes be way cheaper than the block rate — in spite of Rhea's aggressive haggling. We've also heard that using AAA discounts, senior discounts and the like can get even better rates than the block fetches.
All of which is to say, for these hotels or any others, if you like the place, make sure to investigate the non-block rates and book those if they're better.
The rooms at the Renaissance are nice! We've had both sets of our parents stay at this hotel before, so we can confirm the beds are comfy. You can select from one king or two queens. This hotel does not include breakfast.
It also shares a walking path to lead to restaurants and shopping in the Arboretum for ample entertainment during downtime. In particular, Cody and Rhea love frequenting the Amy's Ice Creams there.
The Home2 Suites by Hilton is an extended stay type of hotel, with each room offering a full fridge, glassware, cutlery, and the like. The rooms are spacious and clean. This hotel includes breakfast.
The Home2 is conveniently located just across the street from the Domain, where there is ample shopping, restaurants and entertainment. And for an equivalent ice cream recommendation, we like Jeni's in the Domain.
We begin our festivities with a mehndi event, which for the uninitiated is a fun party where you eat good food, talk to nice people and get some really beautiful artwork to temporarily adorn your skin.
Dress code is semi-formal, either western, Indian, or any other culture. Street parking is freely available, but we recommend parking on the main street prior to turning into the cul-de-sac to avoid crowding.

Our wedding will be an intimate affair at Chapel Dulcinea, a lovely little venue on top of a hill in southwest Austin. It is about a 30 minute drive from around where we're staying. Dress code is formal, either western, Indian, or any other culture.
If you have a car, parking is free. If you don't have a car, Uber and Lyft are good options — or you can try and hitch a ride with someone else! It is about a 5 minute walk to the venue from the parking lot on a gravel path, so be mindful of that.
Where: Chapel Dulcinea | 16221 Crystal Hills Drive, Austin, Texas 78737
When: September 30 | Ceremony begins at 4:00PM
After the ceremony, we will take some photos and head directly to dinner. We will depart the venue no later than 5:00PM.
Dinner will be hosted at an upscale restaurant and bar in central Austin called Citizen Eatery. There's ample parking in the parking lot located just beside the restaurant.
Where: Citizen Eatery | 5011 Burnet Road, Austin, TX 78756
When: September 30 | 5:30PM
After dinner, we will all head back to our house — for cake, drinks, dancing and other merriment.

When: September 30 | 8:00PM
The following morning, we will have one last hurrah! Brunch will be at Rebel Cheese, a French-inspired corner cafe with a delightful breakfast and house-made cheeses.
Parking is widely available on the street for free on Sundays, so provided it's a spot you can park in, you do not need to pay.
Dress code is casual. We recognize that many of you will be on your way out that day, so don't feel like you have to dress up! Wear what's comfortable, and be mindful that we will be sitting outdoors, so dress for the temperature.
Where: Rebel Cheese | 2200 Aldrich St. Suite 120, Austin, Texas 78723
When: October 1 | 10:00AM
Q: Where is your registry? I want to get you guys a gift!
A: We are so excited to spend our lives together. The only gift we need is your presence at our wedding, nothing more. If you want to give something else, we are actively building a life together as we embark upon remodeling our new home. Cash gifts are welcome, but not expected, and will be put towards our house fund.
Q: Should I wear a regular western outfit, or should I try to wear something Indian? What kind of ceremony will you be having?
A: Wear whichever! We will be inventing our own blended ceremony that makes sense for us. As such, you'll see a variety of outfits and styles over the three days. As long as you feel good in what you're wearing, we feel good.
Q: What's your home address? You didn't include that here.
A: Since this is a public website, we didn't want to, uh, disclose where we live for the world to see and know. Once you RSVP, we can send you that information via email.
Q: Your wedding venue is outdoors. What happens if it rains?
A: We get married, rain or shine! Isn't that a metaphor for what partnership is, anyway? We'll make sure to source umbrellas if it's looking like it will rain, or water bottles if it looks like it will be boiling. Regardless, it will be a wet affair — via sweat, rain, or tears.
Q: Can I bring a plus one?
A: We love our friends and family as much as you do. Believe us, it was not an easy thing to have so many loved ones who love us and whom we love, while also wanting to have a small, quiet wedding. We tried our best to be fair where we could, so unfortunately the answer is no. However, we still very earnestly do value their excitement and cherish their blessings, so we would be truly honored for them to participate and attend virtually.
